Measure before buying a bed
Home & living
Match the mattress, frame and sheets by dimensions rather than relying only on a size name.
Save the actual width, length and thickness of the mattress you intend to buy.
Keep three measurements
Measure the usable inside of the bed frame and compare it with the exact mattress dimensions. The external frame size includes its structure and is not a substitute. Also check the frame maker’s required support and mattress specifications instead of assuming any mattress of roughly the same width is compatible.
Use the exact model measurements in the Malaysian retailer’s catalogue, then obtain any missing support specifications from the seller. A familiar size name on two local or imported products does not replace matching width and length in the same units.
Allow for daily use
Record mattress thickness before ordering fitted sheets or a protector. Check the sheet’s pocket depth and any topper you actually plan to add. A sheet fitting the top surface can still fail to wrap the corners when the complete mattress is deeper.
Mark the proposed frame footprint on the room floor with removable tape. Open the room door, drawers and wardrobe and walk around it. This test concerns room access; it does not establish a medical benefit, comfort rating or universal minimum clearance for every person.
Confirm the complete purchase
Ask what the advertised bed price includes: frame, slats or base, mattress, headboard, delivery and assembly. An attractive photograph may show items sold separately. Include only the components you need, but do not omit support required by the manufacturer.
Save the dimensional drawing and written compatibility answer before payment. Check the actual return conditions for the exact product and seller; do not assume a trial period exists. We have not slept on or tested these mattresses.
