How we research our guides

This page keeps its previous address, but the name needs to be clear: our current guides are research-based. We do not claim hands-on testing.

1. Define a buying question

We begin with a practical problem and identify what information a reader needs before making a purchase.

2. Check the primary documentation

We use operator and public institution guidance for local services, and manufacturer documentation for compatibility claims. Sources are linked in each guide. A feature on one model is not treated as a promise for every product from that brand.

3. Separate facts from advice

Manufacturer statements establish supported features. Our shopping checklists are editorial suggestions, not guarantees about a retailer or transaction.

4. Record meaningful reviews

The date on a guide records a content review. Rebuilding the website does not automatically make an old article current. We do not manufacture user ratings or test results.
